About Cycle for Autism

On Sunday, June 5th, 2016, Autism Edmonton held its seventh annual Cycle for Autism in Gold Bar Park - rain or shine!

Cycle for Autism is a fun and inclusive event held annually to increase awareness and acceptance of autism, and raise essential funds for Autism Edmonton.

Teams and individuals collect sponsor pledges and then run, roll, walk or cycle to raise money for Autism Edmonton: a local organization that provides essential information, programs and support to people with autism and their families.

(*Pledges are collected at a flat rate and are not tied to distance. There is no cost for registration.)

Thank you for your support of the 2016 Cycle for Autism!

How does the event work?

Get together with your friends, family, colleagues or classmates and create a team for the 2016 Cycle for Autism!

Get started now by coming up with a name for your team and choosing a Team Leader to serve as a main point of contact. Your Team Leader will register your team online, receive important communications about the event, and serve as the primary point of contact for your team.

Upon registration, your team will be assigned a page on our website that you can share with everyone you know. You can customize this page with a picture, share why you're excited to be taking part, and collect online pledges for your team!

Upon arrival at the Cycle for Autism event, each team member will be able to turn in any cash or cheques for pledges they’ve collected, and submit their registration and signed waiver forms*.

(*Note: A signed waiver will be required from all individuals before they are able to participate.)

The Cycle for Autism is not a marathon, trail ride, or timed race... it has been designed so that people of any age, ability, or mobility, can take part in a fun and inclusive event!

NEW for 2016! We have three different routes to choose from:

  • Traditional Loop – 1.0 km
  • Extended Loop – 1.5 km
  • NEW: Challenge Loop – 3.5 km
(Distances are approximate, so your own pedometer may read differently.)
